Steve Tishco began his career defending the City of New York in its real estate tax litigation matters as an Assistant Corporation Counsel (and Senior Counsel) with the NYC Law Department’s Tax and Bankruptcy Litigation Division.
Following 10 years of public service, Steve continued his tax certiorari practice as an associate at Marcus & Pollack, where he spent 5 years. In 2019, Steve joined Joel Ditchik as his partner at Ditchik & Ditchik. Steve is a member of the NYC Bar Association Committee on Condemnation and Certiorari and serves on the Board of Directors of the NYC Real Estate tax Review Bar Association. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Steve was admitted to the Bar in 2005. After majoring in journalism at the University of Maryland (B.A., magna cum laude, 2001) he attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he served as an Articles Editor of the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Steve lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children and enjoys travel, whiskey, and Premier League soccer. You can find him all over the fields and courts of the tri-state area, being exceedingly polite to the youth sports referees.
